This marker is good for a beginer, someone who wants to try out paintball without spending alot of money. I bought one for my son on his 12th Birthday, for woodsball. While I would not recomend upgrading this marker (why buy a cheap marker to invest money into?), upgrades are not as limited as some people think. The body is just a slightly long, over/under configuration (bolt over the hammer). The front grip can be easily removed, and looks the same size as an ASA. There is a valve screw in there, so I think it is possible to install one. It has spyder threads, so you have options with the barrel. The grip is a basic removable peice, so it can be upgraded (it looks the same size as my IconE, so I belive you can go electric- my son is begging me to swap it out). It shoots great. I have had no issues with chop, accuracy, or reliability. This is where this marker shines. Do not let the composite body scare you away. It is rugged. While it is possible for it to break, I have seen people break metal markers also. My only complaint is the location of the bolt charging handle. It is on the top, and renders the sights useless. It also renders the top rail (mostly)useless. My advise is to put a reflex site on the side. This is a low end marker, and you get what you pay for; but if you want a basic "get in the game" marker; I recomend it. That is why it was a great choice for my son to begin with.

bought three last year for christmas. simple inexpensive marker. we play woods ball and the more we use them the better they get. had issues at first with multi feeds of balls and chops, messed with them a bit and those are rare now. one shot all over the place and one was dead on. not a distance shooter, pretty low fps,ok for the woods we play.they also seemed to use a lot of co2 at first, heavy on the mineral oil and that improved.they are not 98's but they are fun and easy markers to learn with.i cant complain, got them as a cheap starter package and they have held up.upgrades? get a good mask foggy lenses suck.

Great starter marker, ordered a Brass Eagle T-Storm but they sent me a JT Outkast on accident (I'm glad they sent me a marker better than the one I ordered) and it works perfect. No chops, hardly needs repairs, looks cool, and it has Spyder Threads. I easily fit a new barrel on (the one it comes with is rather short) and it now works even better than before. The only issue I have is that the rail on top is rendered useless because of the cocking system. Great marker for those getting into the game for the first time, or it is also a great backup marker. 5 stars all the way.

I bought a couple of these paintball guns a while back, there really goog guns but the only problem I'm having is that I can't find any replacement parts for the gun, mainly the sear and hammer. Just asking if anybody knows where I can find some because ever web site I go to says that they are out of stock.

Just bought this marker literally an hour ago and haven't gotten to shoot it yet. However, overall the construction seems very solid. I think the fact that it's incredibly light weight but still feels like it's going to hold up well in the field is great. Only complaints so far are that the charging handle is on top of the reciever inbetween the sights makws them useless. The only real remedy I can think of besides buying a sighting system is using the front notch sight to kind of line up your shots might work out pretty well. The mask this package came with is kind of cheaply manufactured. I recommend a different mask all together. We'll see how it goes.

This marker is very well put together but the mask is crap I was playing a scrimmage with my friends and after one shot to the cheek area it cracked horribly but the gun itself is accurate and good at range and its fire rate is one of the best I've seen from JT.

The marker in this kit is great. no chops, only a couple broken balls but that was because i set the velocity up way to high. The problem i have is like all the others, the cocking pin is in between the sights, but i still make it work. It is really accurate and once I put a new barrel on it, it will be alot better. Plan on buying a new mask though, really cheap looking and not up to par for even beginners.

This gun was disappointing. When I tried to shoot, I had to pull the trigger many times before it fired. It would not fire properly and it could not hold the canister of paint balls. The CO2 in it would not be used properly because it was empty the first time I used it. Someone needs to do a recall on this gun.

Good gun with good look but if you are thinking about upgrading from the hopper that it comes with good luck, most hoppers wont fit the elbow. and the sights are useless... but other than that decent gun!

from a distance, it looks pretty good. with the r2p package, you can't go wrong. once i got it opened, the whole thing changes. like i said, it looks good. but there's a few things that i noticed that could have been different. first of all, the stovepipe feed system extends the height of the hopper to make it look like a hot air balloon. then the cocking bolt is right in the middle of the rails. makes the rail almost completely useless. just get rid of the rails and change the stove pipe feed system to a center clamping feed. other than that, it's a pretty good gun.
